Our Mission

GATOR was formed in 2020 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a community of support, increased awareness, and resources to advocate for the unique intellectual, social and emotional needs of gifted and talented students. GATOR has an elected board who work diligently for Rockwall ISD SAGE students, their families, and their educators, focusing on three main goals.

Our first goal is supporting our district in servicing gifted learners’ social, emotional, and academic needs. Our second goal is to provide resources and continuing education for our SAGE teachers, empowering them to best serve our gifted learners. Our third goal is devoted to our SAGE Seniors. We understand that the need for support of our students doesn’t end at graduation. Being a gifted learner is a lifelong journey and GATOR is honored to offer continued support by way of awarding two of our SAGE seniors a scholarship. Become a member today!
